Let me begin by saying a little bit about myself. My name is Josh, and I've been very passionate about theme parks for as long as I can remember. I've been reading, researching, and riding roller coasters ever since I first went for a loop (please excuse the pun). I'm currently studying Civil Engineering; not to explicitly become an engineer, but to have that degree under my belt so I may "think as an engineer" when the time comes. My real career choice is difficult to define. I am working to become a "creative designer" for theme parks, or basically develop and create for theme park projects. There are several stages of the theme park attraction design process, and I'd like to be involved in each step along the way. This is why I am developing my creative and artistic capabilities as well as my engineering experience.
So I'm studying engineering on school time, and I'm developing my artistic abilities in my spare time. This is where the E-Ticket Blog comes in. Here, I'm going to display all of my projects. It will mostly be composed of my concept art for potential rides, but from time to time I may build scale models or props. Sometimes I may come up with several ideas that I think certain parks may be interested in, and sometimes I may make something completely custom that any park could use. Sometimes I may stray away from creating art altogether and give my viewpoint on park-related matters. Obviously I want to make the blog as interesting as possible. All content on the E-Ticket Blog will be varied so I may develop my strong and weak points. All readers are welcome to critique me.
So in short, you can consider this more of an "online public portfolio" than a blog. But I'd like for anyone to enjoy this and not limit it to potential employers. So in closing I would just like to welcome you again and thank you so much for reading.
